Probe card and the production method

A connector including a plug and a socket and a driving section for fitting the plug and the socket by moving the driving section in a first direction substantially perpendicular to the fitting direction of the socket and the plug. The driving section has a first groove part provided in the first direction, and a second groove part provided substantially perpendicular to the first direction. The plug has a first protruding portion engaging with the first groove part, and the socket has a second protruding portion engaging with the first groove part. When the driving section moves in the first direction, the driving section depresses the second protruding portion in the fitting direction at the second groove part to move the socket in the fitting direction, thus fitting the plug in the socket.

Connector, electronic component fixing device, and tester

A connector includes multiple pairs of signal contacts arranged in a housing, and facilitates the wiring design and the wiring operation for substrates. The two signal contacts in each of the multiple pairs are arranged at a distance in the longitudinal direction of the housing. With this arrangement, excellent coupling can be established between the two signal contacts, and signals can be balanced-transmitted without causing a phase difference. Also, the lengths of each pair of wires of a wiring substrate to be connected to the multiple pairs of signal contacts can be easily made uniform. Accordingly, there is no need to prepare excessive wiring areas, and the substrate wiring design and the wiring operation can be simplified.

Connector

A connector device is provided, which device includes a housing including first and second sides opposing each other, first terminal members attached to the first side of the housing, and second terminal members attached to the second side of the housing. Each of the first terminal members and each of the second terminal members are alternately arranged side by side, and the first and second terminal members have respective contact portions for external connection, the contact portions being arranged side by side.

A method for fabricating a connector for coupling with a counter connector having an array of pairs of contacts therein includes providing an insulated housing having an array of openings receiving a plurality of first contact modules each having first and second isolated contacts and a second contact module having isolated first and second conducting members respectively having first and second contacts and a terminal, and a third contact and a second terminal, selectively inserted into corresponding openings of the insulating housing such that each of the respective first and second contacts of the first contact modules are connected with the corresponding contact of the counter connector while maintaining the first and second contacts electrically isolated from each other. Further, the second contact modules are inserted into corresponding openings of the insulating housing, not used for the first contact modules and such that the first contact of the second contact module is connected with one contact of the corresponding pair of contacts of the counter electrode and both the second and third contacts are electrically connected with the other contact of the corresponding pair of contacts of the counter electrode when the connector is coupled with the counter connector.

Fabrication method of connector having internal switch

An electrical contact element for a connector, including a first contact end, a second contact end opposed to the first contact end, and an intermediate section integrally joining the first and second contact ends with each other. The intermediate section is provided integrally with a first projection tightly press-fitted into an electro-insulating body of the connector, and with a second projection abutted onto a surface of the connector body to permit the contact element to be fixedly supported in the connector body against an angular displacement of the contact element about the first projection. The electro-insulating body of the connector includes a base for supporting the plural electrical contact elements in a mutually isolated mariner, and a pair of columns extending in the same direction from longitudinally opposed ends of the base. Each column includes a resilient part for permitting a circuit board to be snap-fitted between the columns, and a bracket for restraining a displacement of the resilient part in both directions toward and away from the opposed resilient part.

Electrical contact element and circuit board connector using the same

A connector includes a connector main body and a plurality of terminals, the connector main body being provided with hook parts which can be engaged to notch parts of a printed-circuit board so as to temporarily fix the connector to the printed-circuit board. The connector main body is provided with pins which move within a small region when the pins are forced to move, and, to achieve the temporarily fixed state, the pins are forced to move slightly so that the pins are fitted into openings provided in the printed-circuit board.

A connector assembly for receiving a cable with a plurality of wires includes a body including a plurality of contacts provided on the front face of the body; a plurality of leads for connecting the contacts to a plurality of contact points provided on a circuit board to which the connector assembly is attached; a pair of brackets provided on the either ends of the body; and a pair of board locks, provided on the brackets, for fastening the connector assembly to the circuit board.

Connector assembly

A connector is moveable between a coupled state and an uncoupled state with respect to a counter connector. Plural contact members of the connector individually contact respective, plural contacts of the counter connector when coupled together. A contact module of the connector has a pair of contacts individually contacting and short circuiting a corresponding pair of respective contacts of the counter connector, in a selected one of the coupled and uncoupled states thereof. The contact module may include a pair of output terminals corresponding to the pair of contacts and a switch, actuated between first and second states in accordance with the coupled and uncoupled states of the connector, a selected one of the coupled and uncoupled states producing short circuiting of the pair of output terminals.

Connector having internal switch and fabrication method thereof

An electrical contact element for a connector, including a first contact end, a second contact end opposed to the first contact end, and an intermediate section integrally joining the first and second contact ends with each other. Electrical contact element

A heat sink mounting structure which can increase a cooling efficiency and easily mount a heat sink. The heat sink mounting structure includes an integrated circuit package, a heat sink mounted on the integrated circuit package, and a fastener for fastening the heat sink to the integrated circuit package so that a lower surface of the heat sink comes into close contact with an upper surface of the integrated circuit package. The fastener includes a strip member, a pair of forked members integrally connected to opposite ends of the strip member, and a pair of engaging members integrally connected to the pair of forked members. The engaging members are adapted to engage diagonal corner portions of the integrated circuit package, and the forked members are adapted to come into pressure contact with side surfaces of the heat sink.

Mounting structure and fastener for heat sink

An electrical connecting arrangement is provided for establishing electrical connections of electronic printed-circuit boards detachably mounted in a cabinet of an electronic installation at a front side thereof. For the establishment of electrical connections, at least one connector is used, and a connector support member is attached to a rear side of the cabinet. The connector includes two connector halves to be coupled to each other. One of the connector halves is detachably attached to and supported by the support member, and is joined to an end of an electrical cable. The other connector half is securely attached to and by a rear side of the printed-circuit board. The connector halves are aligned with each other upon mounting the printed-circuit board in the cabinet, to thereby ensure coupling of the connector halves.
