An arrangement for cooling of recirculating exhaust gases of a combustion engine () in a vehicle (). The arrangement comprises a first EGR cooler (), a driving means () adapted to driving air through the first EGR cooler () in order to cool the exhaust gases in a return line () which are subjected to a first step of cooling in the first EGR cooler (), and at least one second EGR cooler () in which the exhaust gases in the return line () are intended to undergo a second step of cooling. The arrangement comprises an air line () which extends at least from the first EGR cooler () to the exhaust pipe () at a location between the turbine () and the exhaust-treating component (), which air line () is adapted to leading warm air from the first EGR cooler () into the exhaust line () at said location.

Arrangement for cooling of recirculating exhaust gases of a combustion engine

An arrangement for a supercharged combustion engine includes a first compressor compressing air in the engine air inlet line as a first stage and a second compressor compressing the air in the inlet line as a second stage, a first coolant-cooled charge air cooler cooling the air after it has been compressed in the first stage and before it is compressed in the second stage, and an air-cooled charge air cooler cooling the compressed air when it has been compressed by the first stage, a second coolant-cooled charge air cooler cooling the compressed air after it has been compressed in the second stage and before it is compressed in the air-cooled charge air cooler. Exhaust gases in an exhaust line from the engine drive turbines which operate the compressors. A return line from the exhaust line and connected into the inlet line has a cooler for the exhaust gases before mixing the gases with the inlet air.

An arrangement for controlling cooling of a gas for a supercharged combustion engine includes a low temperature cooling system with a coolant, a coolant pump circulating the coolant in the cooling system, a cooler in which a gas containing water vapor is cooled by the coolant, at least one sensor for detecting a parameter indicating whether the gas is cooled so much that there is at least risk of ice formation in the cooler, and a control unit receiving information from the sensors and deciding whether there is at least risk of ice formation in the cooler and, if so, controlling the coolant pump to be temporarily switched off or to circulate a lower than normal flow of coolant through the cooler.

The arrangement comprises a low-temperature cooling system with a circulating coolant and a cooler () in which a gaseous medium which contains water vapour is cooled by the coolant in the cooling system. An electric circuit with an electric warming unit () is positioned in contact with the coolant in the second cooling system, a voltage source () and a circuit-breaker () which can be placed in a first position whereby it disconnects the warming unit () and the voltage source () and in a second position whereby it connects together the warming unit () and the voltage source () so that the warming unit () receives electrical energy and warms the coolant in the cooling system.

An arrangement for cooling oil in a gearbox in a vehicle which is powered by a combustion engine, the arrangement including an oil cooler, an oil system configured to circulate oil between the gearbox and the oil cooler, and a coolant circuit configured and operable to lead coolant to the oil cooler. The coolant circuit includes a radiator element for cooling the coolant and a line to lead the cooled coolant from the radiator element to the oil cooler. The coolant circuit has a flow-regulator to regulate the coolant flow through the radiator element for imparting to the coolant a temperature which makes possible a desired cooling of the oil in the oil cooler.

Arrangement for cooling of oil in a gearbox for a vehicle

The present invention relates to a cooler arrangement in a vehicle powered by a combustion engine. The cooler arrangement comprises a first cooling element for cooling a first medium in the form of a circulating coolant, and a radiator fan adapted to generating an air flow through the first cooling element for cooling the coolant when it circulates through the first cooling element. The cooler arrangement comprises also a tubular casing adapted to serving as a flow passage for the air which passes through the first cooling element and at least one further cooling element for cooling a second medium, which further cooling element is arranged in the flow passage at a position downstream of the first cooling element with respect to the intended direction of flow of the cooling air through the flow passage.

Cooling arrangement for air or gas input in a vehicle engine

A cooling arrangement for a vehicle which is powered by a combustion engine. The cooling arrangement includes an air passage through which air flows in a specific direction, and at least three cooling elements to effect cooling of a medium. The three cooling elements are arranged one after another in the air passage such that at least part of the air which flows through the air passage flows successively through all of the cooling elements and cools the media in the respective cooling elements. The cooling elements are arranged one after another in the air passage in a sequence which is related to the temperature of the media in the respective cooling elements such that the air which flows through the cooling elements in the air passage cools a succession of media, each media in succession is at a higher temperature than the one preceding it.

Cooling arrangement at a vehicle

An arrangement for warming the oil in a gearbox in a vehicle powered by a combustion engine. A first pipe system with a first flow device which makes possible circulation of oil from the combustion engine through a heat exchanger. A second pipe system with a second flow device makes possible circulation of oil from the gearbox through the heat exchanger. A control device controls the flow devices so that flow of oil through the heat exchanger is obtained in situations in which the oil in the gearbox is at a too low temperature with respect to a desired temperature. The motor oil in the combustion engine can thus be used for heating the oil in the gearbox during cold starts of the combustion engine.

An arrangement for recirculation of exhaust gases of a supercharged combustion engine. A return line which connects an engine exhaust line to an air inlet line for air supply to the combustion engine, to recirculate exhaust gases via the return line. A first EGR cooler in which the recirculating exhaust gases in the return line are cooled, as a first step, by a first coolant in a first cooling system. A second EGR cooler in which the recirculating exhaust gases in the return line are cooled, as a second step, by a second coolant in a second cooling system, and the second coolant is adapted to be at a temperature substantially corresponding to the temperature of the ambient surroundings when it is led into the second EGR cooler. A charge air cooler for the inlet line, a radiator for the second cooling system to cool the exhaust gases and a radiator element for cooling the second coolant.
