An electrical connection interface is provided. The electrical connection interface includes a first ground plane layer, a second ground plane layer, a first substrate and a second substrate. The second ground plane layer is positioned to overlap the first ground plane layer. The first substrate includes a first substrate conductive lead with a first interface region connected to and electrically insulated from the first ground plane layer. The second substrate includes a second substrate conductive lead with a second interface region connected to the first substrate conductive lead and the second ground plane layer. The second substrate conductive lead is electrically insulated from the second ground plane layer.

Electrical connection interface for connecting electrical leads for high speed data transmission

A connector for surface mounting to a circuit substrate is disclosed having an insulator, a center conductor mounted to the insulator; and a shielding shell externally mounted on the insulator. The shielding shell has a connecting portion and a mounting portion. The mounting portion has a connector mounting body with a shielding portion, a fluid communication well, and at least one opening. A plurality of solder legs are formed on the connector mounting body.

RF connector

An electrical connector has a housing receiving one or more series of electrical contacts. Each series of electrical contacts has a plurality of ground contacts and a plurality of signal contacts. The signal contacts are positioned in between the ground contacts, and the plurality of ground contacts are integrally connected to each other by a bus bar within the housing.

Cross talk reduction for a high speed electrical connector

An electrical connector for connecting with an electrical card comprises a plurality of signal terminal modules and at least one ground terminal. Each of the plurality of signal terminal modules having a pair of signal terminal and an insulation body. Each of the pair of signal terminals include a first contact portion, a first securing portion, and a first connection portion positioned between the first contact portion and the first securing portion. The insulation body is overmolded to each first connection portion of the pair of signal terminals. The ground terminal includes a pair of second contact portions, a second securing portion, and a second connection portion positioned between the pair of second contact portions and the second securing portion. The insulation body includes openings positioned to correspond to each of the pair of signal terminals, with a portion of each of the pair of signal terminals is exposed.

Electrical connector

The present invention discloses an electrical connector having an insulator body, a shield, and an upper and a lower rows of terminals. The shield is constructed to enclose the insulator body. The upper and a lower rows of terminals are held in the insulator body, wherein one of the two rows of terminals is a row of low speed circuit terminals and the other is a row of high speed circuit terminals having two pairs of high speed differential signal terminals and a first ground terminal. At least a portion of the first ground terminal has a width larger than a corresponding portion of each of high speed differential signal terminals. The ground terminal of the high speed circuit is widened compared with high speed differential signal terminals, and it can effectively reduce the inductive coupling crosstalk between the high speed differential signal terminals.

An electrical connector including an insulator body, a shield, and an upper and lower rows of terminals held in the insulator body. One of the two rows of terminals is a row of low speed circuit terminals, and the other one is a row of high speed circuit terminals. The row of high speed circuit terminals includes two pairs of high speed differential signal terminals, and each of the high speed differential signal terminals has a contact portion, an insertion portion and a connection portion between the contact portion and the insertion portion. A part of the connection portion of the high speed differential signal terminal is folded away from the low speed circuit terminal to form a folding section. It increases the space between the high speed differential signal terminal and the low speed circuit terminal and effectively reduces the capacitive coupling crosstalk therebetween.

An electrical connector having an insulative housing, a plurality of first terminals and a plurality of second terminals. The first terminals are disposed in the insulative housing. Each of the first terminals has a first contact portion, a first solder portion, and a first connection portion between the first contact portion and the first solder portion. The plurality of second terminals are also disposed in the insulative housing. Each of the second terminals has a second contact portion, a second solder portion, and a second connection portion between the second contact portion and the second solder portion. The first solder portions of the first terminals and the second solder portions of the second terminals are arranged in two rows in a lateral direction, respectively. The row of the first solder portions is separated from the row of the second solder portions by a predetermined distance in a longitudinal direction.

A differential signal transmission connector includes an insulative housing. A plurality of pairs of differential signal transmission contacts and a plurality of grounding contacts are provided in the insulative housing. The differential signal transmission contacts and the grounding contacts are arranged in two rows. A first contact from each of the pairs of the differential signal transmission contacts is arranged in a first row, and a second contact from each of the pairs of the differential signal transmission contacts is arranged in a second row. The grounding contacts are arranged in the first row between each of the first contacts and the grounding contacts are arranged in the second row between each of the second contacts.

Differential signal transmission connector and board mountable differential signal connector for connecting therewith

A board mounted electrical connector includes signal contacts, grounding contacts, and an insulative housing for holding the signal contacts and the grounding contacts. At least one pair of signal contacts and a grounding contact corresponding to the pair of signal contacts are arranged in two rows at an engagement portion of the insulative hosing. Leg portions of the signal contacts and the grounding contacts, which are to be mounted onto a circuit board, are arranged in three rows at positions closest to an engagement surface of the insulative housing to positions furthest from the engagement surface. Leg portions of the grounding contacts are provided in the first row closest to the engagement surface.

Board mounted electrical connector

The present invention provides an inexpensive card connector assembly which is used for the connection with two cards having mutually different transmission speeds, which can maintain transmission characteristics, and which is therefore suitable for high-speed transmission. The card connector assembly comprises first and second card connectors that are stacked for the connection with two cards having mutually different transmission speeds, and transmission paths for connecting the first and second card connectors to a circuit board. The transmission paths comprise a plurality of first and second terminal parts that respectively extend from the first and second card connectors, and a rigid board to which the first and second terminal parts are connected. The first terminal parts which extend from the first card connector that is to be connected to a card with a relatively high transmission speed are such that a large portion of each adjacent first terminal part from the first card connector to the rigid board extends parallel in a single row.

Card connector assembly

The present invention provides a card connector assembly that is used for the connection with two cards having mutually different transmission speeds and that can maintain transmission characteristics while minimizing the amount of an expensive FPC used. The card connector assembly comprises stacked first and second card connectors for connection with two cards having mutually different transmission speeds, and transmission paths for connecting the first and second card connectors to a circuit board. The transmission path for the first card connector to which a card with a relatively high transmission speed is to be connected is constructed from an FPC to which the first card connector is connected. The transmission path for the second card connector to which a card with a relatively low transmission speed is to be connected comprises terminal parts that extend from the second card connector, and a rigid board to which the terminal parts are connected. The FPC and the rigid board are integrally fastened together.

An electrical connector assembly in which conductor pads on a board are used as contacts is described. Signal conductor pads transmitting positive and negative differential signals, are disposed on one side of the board. A ground pad is disposed on the opposite side of the board so that it is positioned at an intermediate point between the positive and negative signal conductor pads, thus forming one set of pads. The signal conductor pads of another adjacent set, are disposed on the same side as the signal pad of the previous set such that their negative differential signals an adjacent. The pad of a third set (not shown in the figures) which is adjacent to the positive signal pad of the second set is a pad that transmits the same positive differential signal. As a result, signal crosstalk can be prevented.

Electrical connector assembly

The male connector has a metal shielding shell that accommodates a housing and a synthetic resin enclosure that covers approximately the rear half of this shielding shell . Fastening parts and protruding parts are formed by stamping in the upper-side shell half-body . A metal latching arm which is formed with the approximate shape of a shallow inverted V, and which has an engaging part , is disposed between these fastening parts and protruding parts . The latching arm can be pressed by means of a finger-catch part . This configuration obtains the desired shielding performance while maintaining a compact size in a shielded electrical connector assembly.

An improved high speed connector is provided in which conductive pads ( ) are alternately disposed on both sides of a board ( ).
