This invention is directed to a turn-on fluorescent probe, wherein said probe comprises a quinoline based cyanine dye derivative (QBC) and a specific protein binder covalently attached thereto directly or via a linker. This invention is further directed to His-tag binding compounds and uses thereof in the preparation of genetically targeted detectable molecules and sensors which can specifically bind tag-labeled proteins. This invention further describes methods for using these turn-on probes and compounds for detecting and labelling a wide range of proteins in their native environment.

The present invention is directed to fluorescent molecular sensor based on Thiazole Orange for protein detection. Interaction of the protein target with the molecular sensors of this invention results in a significant increase in the fluorescence emission. The generation of light output signal enables one to detect protein biomarkers associated with different diseases or detecting the protein of interest also in living cells.

Molecular sensor and methods of use thereof

The present invention is directed to fluorescent protein biosensors based on oligonucleotide cross reactive sensor arrays including a selective and a non-selective protein surface binding domain for protein detection. Interaction of different protein isoforms with the sensors of this invention yields a unique optical signature for each protein. The present invention is directed to a multi-sensor array compound including at least three chromophores, at least one receptor and an anchor. Contacting the compound of this invention with an analyte (such as carbohydrate) forms a complex with unique optical signature. The unique optical signature allows differentiating between carbohydrates, diagnosing diseases associated with the carbohydrate, and encoding information in an encoding system.
