A cooking apparatus comprising a rotary table disposed inside a heating chamber so as to mount food to be heated, and a motor which rotates the rotary table. The rotary table and the motor are integrally supported in a floating state by a resilient member, thereby allowing the food and the rotary table to vibrate or move vertically. This vertical vibration or movement is measured by employing a detector, and the weight of the food is measured from the output of the detector. The rotary table is provided with a biasing means interlocked with a door for regulating the height of the rotary table or stabilizing the same when the door is opened. In the case where the vibration of the rotary table is particularly detected, the rotary table is forced to vibrate by the action of the biasing means thereby allowing highly accurate measurement of the weight of the food. The output of the heating source, the heating mode and the heating time are controlled in correspondence with the measured weight of the food, and it is therefore possible to improve the cooking apparatus such that it is conveniently used and to realize a finely controlled heating operation.

Cooking apparatus with weighing device

A cooking apparatus includes a rotary table which is disposed inside a heating chamber such as to mount a food to be heated, and a motor which rotates the rotary table. The rotary table and the motor are integrally supported in a floating state by a resilient member, thereby allowing the food and the rotary table to vibrate or move vertically. An improved high frequency heating apparatus of a type having a drawer-type door assembly together with a turn-table driven from the exterior of a heating chamber and also a support shelf therefor, which is so arranged that the stroke of the door assembly for closing and opening may be set irrespective of depth of the heating chamber, with the positional relation between the turn-table and bottom wall of the heating chamber being accurately maintained during driving of the turn-table.

High frequency oven with drawer type door

A microwave oven comprises a timer for setting a cooking time period, a cooking menu selector with a scale indicating an optimum heating time period for each type of food and quantity thereof and a high frequency output selection switch linked to the cooking menu selector or operated manually. By operating the cooking menu selector to select a corresponding scale for the food to be cooked and setting the timer to a quantity of the food marked on the selected scale, an optimum heating time period may be set, and at the same time the high frequency output selection switch is actuated in a linked relation with the cooking menu selector or manually to select a high frequency output which is optimum to the type of food to be cooked. An output indicator for indicating the selection of the high frequency output is also provided in linked relation to the high frequency output selection switch. By the use of a simple and inexpensive structure of the cooking menu selector and the high frequency output selection switch linked thereto, optimum cooking for the type of food and the quantity thereof including cooking of eggs and defrosting of frozen foods is attained in a simple operation.

Microwave oven

A cooking time indication arrangement for use in a microwave oven which includes a rotary drum of light transmitting nature having a plurality of menus to be cooked imprinted on it, a timer scale and a pointer needle associated with a timer, and an illuminating lamp enclosed in the rotary drum. The drum is rotatably supported by bearings through end members provided at its opposite ends for smooth rotation, while the illuminating lamp having high vibration resistance is adjustably supported by a securing plate, and the menu indication on the drum being prevented from becoming wrinkled due to temperature variations.

Cooking time indication arrangement for use in microwave oven

A microwave oven has an oven-defining housing structure having an electric lamp used to illuminate the interior of the oven-defining housing structure, that is, a heating chamber. The oven-defining housing structure has a control panel at the front thereof, which control panel includes one or more signaling windows or indicators to be illuminated, for example, one signaling window representing, when illuminated, that the high frequency wave generator is in position to generate a low radiating energy into the heating chamber and the other signaling window representing, when illuminated, that the high frequency wave generator is being operated. These signaling windows are respectively illuminated by portions of rays of light emitted by the oven lamp by means of light transmitters. Respective shutter mechanisms are provided for controlling passage of the light rays from the oven lamp towards the signaling windows so that the latter can be illuminated at required times.
