The disclosure provides a functionalized soybean compound, and a coating composition employing the same. The functionalized soybean compound has the chemical structure represented below:  wherein i can be 1, or 2, j can be an integer from 4 to 60, Rcan be hydrogen, Calkyl group, or acrylic group, Rand Rare hydrogen, or Rand Rare linked together with the carbon atoms to which Rand Rare attached to form a saturated and unsaturated six-membered ring, and R, R, and Rare independent and can be hydrogen, or Calkyl group.

Functionalized soybean compound, and coating composition employing the same

A method of reducing the photoelectric device leakage current caused by residual metal ions in conjugated polymer. A chelating agent is added to a conjugated polymer material, thereby the conductivity and mobility of metal ions under an electric field are reduced due to the chelation of metal ions by the chelating agent; therefore, the leakage current is reduced and the stability of devices is improved. Furthermore, the activity of metal ions is reduced after the metal ions are chelated by the chelating agent, improving the stability of the material and the devices. A conjugated polymer composition is also provided.

Method of reducing photoelectric device leakage current in conjugated polymer and conjugated polymer composition

A phenanthrene compound represented by the formula (I):in which, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, and Rare identical or different and may each be hydrogen, halogen, Calkyl, Calkoxy, or a conjugated group. The phenanthrene compound has a polycyclic structure and semiconductor properties including electron transfer, electroluminescence, and photoluminescence.

An improved injection/compression molding process for the manufacturing of high quality concave optical lenses of thin thickness. A thermoplastic material is injected into a mold cavity of an injection/compression molding machine, the mold cavity is designed to have adjustable thickness and is initially set at a thickness greater than the lens to be produced. After the amount of the plastic injected fills the enlarged cavity, the thickness of the cavity is gradually reduced by exerting a compressional force on the thermoplastic material inside the mold cavity. During the compression stage, the injection continues and the excess thermoplastic material is squeezed into an overflow pocket inside the injection/compression mold. The injection apparatus can be switched into a pressure holding mode during and after the compression stage to prevent any backflow and post-injection shrinkage. The process disclosed in the present invention offers many significant advantages over prior art processes, including avoidance of the commonly encountered weld line and birefrigence problem, substantially improved quality control, elimination of external heating or cooling needs, increased production rate, and reduced production cost.
