The disclosure provides nucleic acids, and variants and fragments thereof, derived from strains ofencoding variant polypeptides having increased pesticidal activity against insect pests, including Lepidoptera and Coleopteran. Particular embodiments of the disclosure provide isolated nucleic acids encoding pesticidal proteins, pesticidal compositions, DNA constructs, and transformed microorganisms and plants comprising a nucleic acid of the embodiments. These compositions find use in methods for controlling pests, especially plant pests.

Insecticidal CRY1B variants having improved activity spectrum and uses thereof

This disclosure provides, among other things, a reagent system for nucleic acid analysis. In some embodiments, the system may comprise a plurality of oligonucleotide sets each set comprising at least (a) a competitor oligonucleotide that hybridizes to a target sequence and varies in concentration from mixture to mixture and (b) a detector oligonucleotide that also hybridizes to the target sequence and contains a barcode that indicates the concentration of the competitor oligonucleotide in the oligonucleotide set. The reagent system may be used to analyze a nucleic acid sample.
