A battery pack includes a plurality of unit batteries arranged side by side in a first direction, each unit battery including a can accommodating an opening including an electrode assembly having a first electrode plate, a second electrode plate, and a separator between the electrode plates, and a cap plate sealing the opening. The plurality of unit batteries may be arranged side by side in the first direction with all the cap plates exposed in the same direction. The battery pack may further include a protection circuit module adjacent to the cap plate with a circuit board extending in the first direction and a protection device coupled to it, wherein each unit battery further includes a first terminal on a first area of the cap plate and a second terminal on a second area of the cap plate, each coupled to the unit battery and the protection circuit module.

Battery pack including a protection circuit module for unit batteries

A battery pack includes a plurality of battery cells, a protective circuit module (PCM), a temperature sensor and a case. Each battery cell has a terrace portion sealed so that an electrode tab of an electrode assembly is extracted to an outside. The PCM is electrically connected to the plurality of battery cells. The temperature sensor is connected to the PCM to measure a temperature of the battery cells. The case accommodates the plurality of battery cells, the PCM and the temperature sensor. The case includes a mounting portion on which the PCM is mounted, and a temperature sensor support portion protruded to be spaced apart from the mounting portion at a predetermined height is formed in one area of the mounting portion.

Battery pack

A battery pack is disclosed. The battery pack includes a battery cell, a protection circuit module, and a temperature sensor, which are each held by a case. The case includes a dedicated space for the temperature sensor and a fixing element to fix the temperature sensor in the dedicated space.

A rechargeable battery pack includes a frame accommodating a unit cell including a rechargeable battery; a protection circuit module electrically connected to the unit cell and in the frame; and a pair of cases coupled to opposite sides of the frame and accommodating the unit cell and the protection circuit module, and wherein the frame has coupling grooves in the sides and wherein each of the pair of cases comprises coupling protrusions, the coupling protrusions of each case being alternately coupled to the coupling grooves.
