Methods and apparatus are described for pinning out multiple memory devices using shared conductors therebetween and providing multiple chip select signals to indicate to which of the memory devices address signals on the shared conductors apply. In the case of a clamshell configuration with a top memory device having a corresponding bottom memory device and shared vias coupled therebetween, sharing two address signals for each shared via in this manner reduces the total number of vias used, thereby reducing routing congestion and enabling the addition of ground vias around the shared vias to reduce crosstalk for the address signals.

Effective clamshell mirroring for memory interfaces

In an approach for calibrating a delay line having a plurality of taps, a first clock signal is input to the delay line. A second clock signal is input to a reference circuit having a plurality of taps. In response to determining that output signals of selected taps of the delay line and reference circuit do not align, a next tap of the reference circuit is selected, to determine whether or not the output signals align. In response to determining that the output signals align, reference tap data indicative of the current reference tap is stored in association with a delay tap number of the current delay tap. A next tap of the delay line is selected to determine whether or not the output signals align.

Delay line calibration circuit and method

Approaches for analyzing a power grid of an integrated circuit are described. In one embodiment, a method includes selecting at least one portion of the integrated circuit to be analyzed. A power grid model corresponding to the integrated circuit is retrieved from a database, and a first simulation of the programmable integrated circuit is performed. The first simulation generates a respective waveform of an electrical characteristic over time for each connection of a component within the selected portion to voltage supply or voltage ground. A simulation is performed of the power grid model using the respective waveforms as input stimulus for each connection in the selected portion.
