A computer-implemented cognitive assessment tool is provided for assessing cognitive ability of an individual while multi-tasking. In one embodiment, a computer processing system on which the tool is implemented may receive form the individual first responses to a first task and second responses to a second task, where the first task and the second task are presented to the individual simultaneously. The system may determine that the first task and the second task are performed by the individual based on the first responses and the second responses, and compute a cognitive measure using one or both of the first responses and the second responses. Further, computing the cognitive measure may be based on performance measures of one or both of the first responses and the second responses. Based on the cognitive measure, the system may output a cognitive assessment to the individual.

Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for generating a quantified indicator of cognitive skills in an individual. In certain configurations, the apparatus, systems, and methods can be implemented for enhancing cognitive skills in an individual.

Cognitive platform including computerized elements

A cognitive platform is disclosed that is configured for either or both of assessing or enhancing the cognitive abilities of an individual based on implementing one or more navigation task(s) in an environment. A first task is rendered that requires the individual to rely on allocentric navigation capabilities to navigate in the environment based on a first set of views of portions of the environment rendered at the user interface. A second task is rendered that requires the individual to rely on egocentric navigation capabilities to navigate in the environment. An indication of a cognitive ability in the individual can be generated based on the difference in the individual's performance at the first task as compared to the second task.

Described herein are systems and techniques for a motion capture system and a three-dimensional (3D) tracking system used to record body position and/or movements/motions and using the data to measure skin strain (a strain field) all along the body while a joint is in motion (dynamic) as well as in a fixed position (static). The data and technique can be used to quantify strains, calculate 3D contours, and derive patterns believed to reveal skin's properties during natural motions.
