A method includes: receiving data from two or more payment directories, the data comprising information pertaining to a plurality of users, each of which are enrolled with at least one of the two or more peer-to-peer payment directories. The method includes receiving, by the federated directory management computer system, a request for a fund transfer to a payee and determining, by the federated directory management computer system based on the received data and the request, that the fund transfer is either an interdirectory transfer or an intradirectory transfer. The method includes identifying, by the federated directory management computer system based on the determination, a payment rail for the fund transfer and processing, by the federated directory management computer system based on the determination, the fund transfer via the identified fund rail.

Systems and methods for funds transfers via a federated directory

A payer computing system includes a processing resource, a memory resource, and computer-executable instructions stored thereon and embodied in a customer-side application programming interface (API). The instructions, when executed by the processing resource, cause the payer computing system to receive an electronic payment request and, in response, generate a request (e.g., a first API message) to access a biller computing system using a previously generated payer electronic token. The request is transmitted to the biller computing system. The payer computing system receives (e.g., via a second API message) payment information provided by the biller computing system in response to the request to access. A computer-implemented system and method receive information regarding a funds transfer from a payor to a payee. The information is received by a depository computer system. The depository computer system forwards the information regarding the funds transfer to an account verification service computer system. The depository receives an indication of a real-time account status of an account of the payor. The account status information is received from a paying bank computer system that maintains the account of the payor via the account verification service computer system. Release of the funds to the payee is authorized based on the account status information received via the account verification service computer system. The authorization occurs in real-time relative to when the funds transfer information is initially received.

A method of performing an off-us deposit with reversal is provided. The method includes receiving, by a depository bank computing system associated with a depository bank, a request identifying an amount of a transfer of funds from a paying bank, different from the depository bank, into an account associated with a customer of the depository bank. The normalization includes: converting at least a portion of the received data into a uniform file type; categorizing the uniform file type and at least some of the received data, the categorization based on a characteristic of the at least some of the received data and the uniform file type; and providing the categorized uniform file type and the at least some of the received data into categories specific to each peer-to-peer payment directory of the two or more peer-to-peer payment directories in the uniform database.
