Patent №:  12267738 – Handover in integrated small cell and WiFi networks via an extended X2 interface. Systems and methods support inter-system mobility between LTE and trusted WLAN access networks using an X2′ interface for control and user plane communication. This interface enables seamless handover of a UE’s connection between a WLAN and an (H)eNB in both directions.
