Dr. Jun received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Pusan National University, South Korea, in 2002, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, South Korea, in 2004 and 2011, respectively.

In 2004, he joined the Realistic AV Research Group, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Daejeon, where he was a Principal Researcher. In March 2018, he joined the Department of Information and Communication Engineering, Kyungnam University, Changwon, South Korea, where he is currently an Assistant Professor.

The method involves generating motion vector candidate lists based on the inter-prediction direction of a current block, deriving multiple motion vectors from those lists, determining prediction blocks using the vectors, and selecting a final prediction block based on the derived prediction blocks.
