Centurion+ Patent Holders as of July 30, 2024

Welcome to the 30th of July 2024: Our goal is to celebrate the patent holders who have reached noteworthy milestones in their fields this week.

Dwayne R Nelson

Inventor | System Design Architect at IGT

Patent №: 12051301 (July 30, 2024) – System and method for managing player account access using multiple devices.

A system that automatically logs out a player tracking account device when a different device attempts to log into the same player tracking account system.

Mattias Frenne

Principal Researcher at Ericsson, Vice Head of Ericsson 3GPP RAN1 delegation, Commercial Model at Golden Age Models agency.

Patent №: 12052777 (July 30, 2024) – System and method for providing time domain allocations in a communication system. An apparatus with processing circuitry receives a time domain allocation indication in downlink control information associated with a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) and uses it for transmissions.

Patent №: 12052773 (July 30, 2024) – Terminal device, network device and methods therein. A method for a terminal device to determine a DMRS configuration for PUSCH and transmit the PUSCH with a preamble to a network device in a random access message.

Patent №: 12052199 (July 30, 2024) – CSI feedback for data transmission over multiple transmission points. A wireless device receives a configuration of N NZP CSI-RS resources, each linked to a different TRP. Upon receiving a request for CSI feedback, the device selects a preferred subset of these resources and reports CSI based on this subset to a base station.

Patent №: 12052125 (July 30, 2024) – Methods and apparatuses for signaling and determining reference signal offsets. Methods and apparatuses enable using DMRS sequences based on overall system bandwidth, allowing wireless devices to determine their DMRS elements without knowing the system bandwidth or their exact positions within it.

Patent №: 12052075 (July 30, 2024) – Systems and methods for determining transmitter and receiver configurations for a wireless device. An exemplary method involves using a first transmitter or receiver configuration based on a QCL assumption associating a first signal with a first reference signal. It also involves using a second transmitter or receiver configuration based on another QCL assumption associating a second signal with a second reference signal.

Dimitri Kanevsky

Research Scientist at DEEP MIND, Google

Patent №: 12051443 (July 30, 2024) – Enhancing audio using multiple recording devices.

A computing system detects that first, second, and third audio sources are present in two audio streams. It determines that the first and second sources form a conversation. Subsequently, the system creates a new audio stream by merging the first and second sources from both original streams while reducing the volume of the third source in both streams.

Anh Truong

Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Tubi.

Patent №: 12052391 (July 30, 2024) – Methods and systems for automatic queuing in conference calls.

The method includes receiving and analyzing call data to identify participants and determine if multiple participants are speaking simultaneously. It tracks the first participant who continues speaking and the second participant who stops. A queuing element is displayed on a graphical user interface (GUI) to indicate the second participant is in line to speak after the first participant finishes.

Yang Tang

3GPP RAN4 lead and Sr. Manager at Apple.

Patent №: 12052621 (July 30, 2024) – Direct SCELL activation during handover.

A method for user equipment (UE) includes: receiving a handover command to a target cell with an activation indication for a secondary cell (SCell); sending a first message to initiate random access; and receiving a second message from the target cell with a timing advance (TA) command.

Patent №: 12052597 (July 30, 2024) – Reference timing for target data measurement in unlicensed spectrum for new radio. A method for user equipment (UE) operating with New Radio in Unlicensed Spectrum (NR-U) is provided. The method involves obtaining information that includes reference timing, configuring a target date measurement setup based on the reference timing, and conducting the target data measurement according to this configuration.
