Methods and systems for reducing emissions from an internal combustion engine include using a combustor after shutdown to purge stored NOx from a passive NOx absorber and preparing for the next engine start. The released NOx is then reduced using a selective catalytic reduction catalyst.

Methods to improve congestion management in IP-routed datacenter networks use adaptive routing and congestion-hint-based throttling. Network switches detect congestion, create congestion notification packets (CNPs), and send them back to the senders via non-congested or fastest paths. CNPs include flow identifiers, congestion levels, and timestamps to manage congestion and filter outdated notifications. Endpoint network interfaces store a table tracking congestion levels of different flows.
