Patent №: 12069728 (August 20, 2024) – Techniques for early termination signaling for random access response windows.

A base station (BS) may receive random access channel (RACH) messages from user equipment (UEs) and, after processing them, transmit an early termination message to a UE to end the random access response window

Patent №: 12069725 (August 20, 2024) – Starting position control in channel occupancy time for new radio sidelink communications. A method for wireless communication by a sidelink UE includes receiving start time indicators from a base station, performing a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure, and transmitting to another UE at a selected start time if the LBT is successful.

Patent №: 12069701 (August 20, 2024) –Configuring a time domain control resource set for single carrier waveforms. Various aspects relate to wireless communication. User equipment (UE) may receive from a base station a configuration for a time domain (TD) control resource set (CORESET) for single carrier waveforms, which dynamically adjusts certain parameters. The UE then receives a physical downlink control channel based on this configuration. Other related aspects are also described.

Patent №: 12069686 (August 20, 2024) – Blind decoding limits and overbooking for physical downlink control channel repetition. Methods for wireless communications involve linking PDCCH candidates from different search spaces (SS) across one or two transmission time intervals (TTIs). The user equipment (UE) counts these combinations toward the blind decoding (BD) limit of one or both TTIs, considering candidates individually or in combination.

Patent №: 12069639 (August 20, 2024) – Control of scheduling duty cycle. Wireless communication systems and methods involve a base station (BS) receiving feedback from user equipment (UE) and determining a schedule for the UE. This schedule includes a duty cycle based on the UE’s feedback. The BS then communicates with the UE according to this schedule.

Patent №: 12069626 (August 20, 2024) – Adaptive processing modes. Methods and systems for wireless communications involve configuring user equipment (UE) to switch between single-slot and multi-slot processing modes. The UE receives configurations for both modes from a base station: one for single-slot communications and another for multi-slot communications.

Patent №: 12069625 (August 20, 2024) – Preamble transmission in sidelink communications using shared radio frequency spectrum. Methods and systems enable (UE) to transmit a channel reservation preamble of a second radio access technology (RAT), like Wi-Fi, to signal that it has secured a shared channel. The start time of the preamble is based on the first symbol’s duration in the transmission slot. The preamble can reserve multiple or single slots, and for multiple sub-channels, it can be sent on one or all sub-channels.

Patent №: 12069610 (August 20, 2024) – Sidelink feedback channel signaling in new radio sidelink. Methods and systems for wireless communications involve a receiving device, such as a user equipment (UE), receiving sidelink communications from another UE. The receiving device sends a feedback message using a first resource configuration on a sidelink feedback channel.

Patent №: 12068988 (August 20, 2024) – Channel state information collection in physical sidelink channels. A first user equipment (UE) reserves resources for a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) and sends this reservation to a second UE. The first UE then transmits the CSI-RS after a delay of at least K time periods. The second UE responds with a CSI report based on the received CSI-RS.
Patent №: 12068980 (August 20, 2024) – Enhancements for multi-TRP modes. In one aspect, a method involves determining SSB burst set information for two different PCIs and monitoring SSBs from both burst sets. In another aspect, a method includes determining the number of RSRP reports to send based on a CSI report request, then transmitting RSRP reports for beams associated with different groups.

Patent №: 12068840 (August 20, 2024) – Techniques and apparatuses for downlink control channel design using a top to bottom search space.
User equipment in a legacy network may use a bottom-to-top search technique for control channel samples, which can degrade performance in single-carrier waveforms as networks transition to New Radio. To address this, a base station generates a control channel with minimized gaps, and the user equipment performs a top-to-bottom search.

Patent №: 12068825 (August 20, 2024) – Antenna switching for reference signals. A user equipment (UE) can indicate to a base station how transmit and receive antennas are distributed across antenna panels. Based on this, the base station configures resource sets for reference signal transmissions.

Jack T Kavalieros
Intel Fellow & VP, Technology Research.
Patent №: 12068319 (August 20, 2024) – High performance semiconductor oxide material channel regions for NMOS.

Techniques are presented for integrating semiconductor oxide materials as alternative channel materials for n-channel devices in integrated circuits. These materials may offer a wider band gap and higher electron mobility than silicon, leading to improved NMOS channel performance, including reduced off-state leakage and enhanced electron mobility.

Patent №: 12068206 (August 20, 2024) – Extension of nanocomb transistor arrangements to implement gate all around. This approach extends nanocomb transistor architecture to implement gate-all-around (GAA) technology. It encloses each nanoribbon in a vertical stack with gate dielectric and electrode materials on all sides.

Patent №: 12069586 (August 20, 2024) – Power control for PUCCH transmission with acknowledgement information.
User equipment (UE) calculates PUCCH transmission power by summing received and non-received transport blocks from different RNTI sets and transmits PUCCH with corresponding HARQ-ACK information.

Elmoustapha Ould-Ahmed-Vall

Patent №: 12066975 (August 20, 2024) – Cache structure and utilization.

Embodiments relate to cache structure and use. An apparatus includes processors, a memory, and a cache. The apparatus dynamically overfetches cache lines by fetching extra data beyond a cache miss, based on a current overfetch boundary, in addition to the requested data.

Patent №: 12069696 (August 20, 2024) – Priority-based resource planning in integrated access and backhaul radio access network sharing.

The description relates to wireless communication, where a network node sends priority levels for communication resources to an IAB donor central unit (CU).

Patent №: 12069514 (August 20, 2024) – Multi-donor topological redundancy in integrated access and backhaul.
A method, medium, and apparatus are provided, where the apparatus receives a request from a second IAB-donor-CU to route traffic between their IAB nodes. It also gets QoS information and requests a third IAB-donor-CU to route related traffic between other nodes.

Patent №: 12068954 (August 20, 2024) – IP-based routing support in IAB. A method, medium, and apparatus for a network node involve receiving a routing configuration and a packet with two headers. The node checks if the second header matches its address and the first doesn’t match its IP. If so, it replaces the second header with a third one containing the routing ID.

Patent №: 12068898 (August 20, 2024) – Gap enhancement with guard symbols and indication of transition instances. An IAB apparatus receives a signal from a child IAB node identifying transition instances and their times. It then provides guard symbols for the first transition instance at the specified transition time.
