Manoj Bhargava is an Indian American businessman and philanthropist, best known as the founder of the company that produces 5-hour Energy drinks. Born in Lucknow, India, in 1953, Bhargava moved to the U.S. where he eventually dropped out of Princeton University. His entrepreneurial journey included various ventures before hitting it big with 5-hour Energy, leading to estimated retail sales of $1 billion by 2012. Bhargava has committed 99% of his net worth to philanthropic efforts aimed at improving the well-being of the world’s less fortunate. He has also been involved in a range of other business ventures, including hydration drinks and media acquisitions.
