An apparatus for controlling a throttle valve electronically in an internal combustion engine. The actuatoris supported on a bodyA by fixing a base plateto a flangeB of the bodyA with a boltand an elastic memberis fixed at an outer surface of a cylindrical projectionC which is positioned on one endB of the body of the actuatorThe inner surface of a caseC of the bodyA covers cylindrical projectionC. One endB of the body of the actuatoropposite the actuator output end, is thus supported by the bodyA via elastic memberTherefore, it is not necessary to provide a heavy wall thickness of the flange by which the actuatoris supported or of the body of the actuator, and increase the strength of the internal structure of the actuator, and increase weight, size, and cost of the actuator.
