Abstract
A new and distinctplant named 'Gothic Grenadine' characterized by winter-hardy compact habit with clean, dark-green, semi-evergreen foliage. The vigorous tetraploid plant produces a high number of strong, upright, four to seven-way branched scapes with numerous, large, single, flowers that are rounded, fragrant, very dark red, with a ruffled piecrust edging, and yellow to light green throat beginning in mid-July for about four weeks.
