A new and distinct cultivar ofplant named 'ESM RI009', characterized by its upright plant habit with relatively long flowering stems; vigorous growth habit; freely branching habit; freely flowering habit; flowers with dark pink-colored phyllaries arranged on compact and dense inflorescences; and good cut flower performance.
