A new and distinct cultivar of hardy herbaceoushybrid plant named 'Heartthrob' with mostly upright branched stems bearing broadly ovate-shaped dark green foliage and many large flat-faced, dark, greyed-purple flowers with darker eye and flowering over at least 10 weeks during the summer and fall.
