A new and distinct cultivar of the muscadine grape plant,Michx., named 'Ga. 5-1-45', which has: early ripening berries, typically beginning in the first week in August in Georgia; black berries; self-fertile flowers; berries with flesh that adheres to the skin (non-slip skin); berries that are firm in texture and with a high soluble solids content; and berries that are large for a self-fertile cultivar.
