The present invention relates to a new and improved variety of apricot tr The fruit of the new variety is characterized by a shiny, attractive orange color with intense red blush covering 30-50% of the surface. The fruit is of large size with an elliptical shape and has juicy, firm flesh with sweet flavor. The tree is characterized by vigorous healthy growth and a drooping tree habit. The new variety has been named `Vulcan`.
