Abstract

A new siloxane polymer containing disilacyclohexadiene rings in the polymer ackbone and a commercially viable method of making it are disclosed. The new polymer is an elastomer, and it has unsurpassed thermal stability. Some of the thermal, mechanical, and chemical properties of the new polymer are described.
