Abstract
A research burner having a water-cooled hemispherical head provided with a urved upper surface adapted as a seat for a flame which is surrounded by a shroud of inert gas. The burner provides for optical access to the various zones of the flame under study for both temperature and concentration of species in a compatible mixture.
