Abstract

The invention relates to a tinted polarizing optical element (), including a polarizing assembly () consisting of at least a first layer () and a second layer () made of a thermoplastic or thermosetting material and sandwiching a polarizing film () therebetween, and to a method for manufacturing said optical element. The latter further comprises a third layer () made of a tinted thermoplastic material adhering, by means of injection, to the second layer (), characterized in that the element includes a fourth layer () which is made of a crystal thermoplastic material adhering, by means of injection, to the third layer (), and which is to be surfaced so as to achieve a corrective effect.
