Abstract

The invention relates to a polymer composition suitable for high-heat application comprising: a. At least one polymer 1 having a solubility parameter δP1; b. A thermo-releasable substance being a liquid at 200° C. and having a solubility parameter δsub in an amount of at least 0.1 wt % with respect to the total amount of composition; and wherein the amount of thermo-releasable substance is in the range from 0.5 wt % to 70 wt % with respect to the polymer 1; wherein Δ=(δsub−δP1)is in the range from 0.5 to 24.0 and wherein the solubility parameter is calculated by the software package Synthia, Materials Studio v.6.0.0 ©2011, based on the method by J. Bicerano, Prediction of Polymer Properties, Marcel Dekker, 3rd Ed, 2002, ISBN 0-8247-0821-0; Chapter 5, and in which the E-modulus of the composition as measured according to method ISO 527-1 at 200° C. is at least 50 MPa. The invention also relates to personal care devices and hair-straighteners comprising this polymer composition.
