Abstract

A method of preparing a homogeneously dispersed chlorine-modified lithium manganese-based ABOspinel cathode material is provided. Furthermore, a homogeneously dispersed chlorine-modified lithium manganese-based ABOspinel cathode material is provided. In addition, a lithium or lithium ion rechargeable electrochemical cell is provided incorporating a homogeneously dispersed chlorine-modified lithium manganese-based ABOspinel cathode material in a positive electrode.
