Abstract
A combination for a bicycle includes a one-piece disc brake mount, and a chain stay that forms a portion of a frame of the bicycle. The mount includes: a first protrusion comprising a first elongated shape with a first centrally disposed through-hole; a second protrusion comprising a second elongated shape with a second centrally disposed through-hole; the second through-hole disposed parallel with and spatially apart from the first through-hole; and, an integrally formed web portion fixedly connecting the first protrusion with the second protrusion. The chain stay includes a continuous surface absent any discontinuities in an attachment area configured to receive the mount, wherein the mount is joinable with the chain stay at the attachment area.
