Abstract

Flame retardant compositions for polyurethanes may include hydroxyl-containing poly(alkylene phosphates) that have 5 mol % or less of phosphorus from phosphorus-containing compounds having aP NMR resonance signal at a chemical shift in the range from 13 ppm to 18 ppm relative to 85 wt % phosphoric acid.
