Abstract
A closure element comprising a composite web comprising: a nonwoven web; an elastically extensible film strip joined to the top surface of the nonwoven web; a nonwoven material disposed on top of the film strip; and a strip of a fastening material disposed on top of the nonwoven web, wherein the nonwoven material overlaps the edges of the strip of fastening material and the strip of fastening material at its edges overlapped by the nonwoven material has projections which extend into the nonwoven material, as well as absorbent articles that include closure elements.
