Abstract

The present disclosure includes a column () having a cylindrical, vertical column body () forming a column cavity (), and a mass transfer tray () disposed in the column cavity () and forming a collecting area (). The column () is characterized by a circulation device () having at least one drain orifice () formed in the column body () above the collecting area (), a circulation line () in fluid connection with the drain orifice () and at least one recycling orifice (-to-) which is in fluid connection with the circulation line () and is formed in the column body () above the collecting area (). Also disclosed herein is a thermal separating process in which a gas ascends within a column () of the present disclosure, and a liquid descends within the column (), said gas and/or liquid containing (meth)acrylic monomers.
