Abstract

A pneumatic tireis provided in a bead portionwith a bead coreformed of a bead wire. The bead corehas a wound single bead wire structure formed from turns of the single bead wire, and has at least three wire layers. Each side face of the bead corehas a shape such that it is possible to draw a common tangentto at least two turns of the bead wireappearing in the side facewhich common tangent is substantially parallel with the tire radial direction. The turns of the bead wirein the 1st wire layerare alternated with the turns of the bead wirein the 2nd wire layerdisposed on the outside of the 1st wire layer. The 1st wire layerincludes a turnhaving the winding-start endof the bead wire, which turnis positioned between adjacent two turnsof the bead wire in the 2nd wire layer
