Abstract

Chondrocytes are prepared from perichondrocytes. The present invention provides a cell derived from a perichondrial tissue, the cell being capable of differentiating into a chondrocyte. The present invention also provides a method of preparing the above-described cell and a composition comprising the same. A method of preparing a chondrocyte and a medium for use in the method are also provided.
