Abstract

An object of the present invention is to provide a compound that is resistant to decomposition even when coming into contact with a magnetic head, while enabling a reduced spacing between the magnetic head and a magnetic disk, and to provide a lubricant comprising the compound, and a magnetic disk comprising the compound. The present invention relates to a compound represented by formula (1), a lubricant comprising the compound, and a magnetic disk comprising the compound:CH—[O—(CH)—O—CH—R—CH—X]  (1)wherein n is an integer of 2 to 6; i is an integer of 2 or 3; X is a group represented by —OH, —O—(CH)—OH, —OCHCH(OH)CHOH, —OCHCH(OH)CHO—CH, or —OCHCH(OH)CHO—CH—OCH; m is an integer of 1 to 6; R is —(CF)O(CFO)(CFCFO)(CFCFCFO)(CFCFCFCFO)(CF)—; x and y are each a real number of 0 to 30; z is a real number of 0 to 30; w is a real number of 0 to 20; and p is an integer of 1 to 3.
