Abstract

The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a vehicle body component such that problems relating to conventionally proposed technology can be solved, thereby preventing increases in the number of components or manufacturing steps for reinforcement, for example. A bumper reinforce () includes a first component () and a second component () that are formed from channel steel with approximately U-shaped lateral cross section, and is configured by connecting the ends of the components (). Connecting portions () of the first component () and the second component () respectively have slits () along a direction in which the components () are arranged. The components () are connected with the components () overlapping each other in a staggered manner on both upper and lower sides across the slits ().
