Abstract
To provide a seat belt retractor and a seat belt device capable of shortening time taken to restrict rotation of a spool. A seat belt retractor according to the present invention includes a spool, a base frame, a spring unit, a vehicle sensor, a locking mechanism, and a pretensioner. The locking mechanismincludes a lock gearand a retainer. The lock gearincludes an outer circumferential wallthat is disposed at an end portion of the spooland engageable with the vehicle sensor.
