Abstract
A headlight control apparatusthat controls an illumination state of a headlightthat illuminates an area ahead of a vehicle includes an illuminance sensorthat detects luminance around the vehicle, an illumination control sectionthat switches on or off the headlightin accordance with the luminance detected by the illuminance sensor, a forward detection sensorthat detects an object that is present within a predetermined distance ahead of the vehicle, and a dimming control sectionthat dims the headlightwhen the forward detection sensordetects an object after start of the vehicle.
