Provided is a method for producing a rice F1 seed, including crossing a rice male sterile line of Koshihikari containing one or more genes selected from the group consisting of the sd1 gene, the Gn1 gene and the hd1 gene derived fromL. cultivar Habataki, or a rice male sterile line exhibiting semi-waxiness as a seed parent, with a rice fertility restorer line as a pollen parent, and collecting the first filial generation seed (F1 seed) from the post-crossing seed parent; and a rice male sterile line containing one or more genes selected from the group consisting of the sd1 gene, the Gn1 gene and the hd1 gene derived fromL. cultivar Habataki.
