Abstract

A metallic composite material for a sliding bearing () has a metallic support layer (), in particular steel, and a bearing metal layer () based on copper-tin with 2-6 wt. % tin. The bearing metal layer () has 0.2-2 wt. % nickel. A sliding bearing element, which is to be used in or close to the motor, can be produced from this type of sliding bearing composite material ().
