Abstract

A device capable of retaining a portable electronic component includes a frame having a rear surface with a circular depressed region. A handle coupled to a handle retainer is movable between a retracted position and a plurality of extended positions. The device includes a circular plate residing within the depressed region of the frame, the circular plate having an opening and a recessed handle receiving well having a depth capable of housing at least a portion of the handle in its retracted position. A rotatable handle retainer is seated within the opening of the circular plate to be retained between the circular plate and the rear surface of the frame in a plurality of rotational positions. A locking ring engages with the frame in order to retain the circular plate within the depressed region of the frame in manner that permits the circular plate to rotate.
