Abstract
A rechargeable battery includes: an electrode assembly including a first electrode and a second electrode; a case for accommodating the electrode assembly; a first current collector coupled to the first electrode and including a fuse; and a second current collector coupled to the second electrode. First and second blocking members are positioned on the first current collector at a distance from each other with the fuseinterposed inbetween and each blocking member includes a nonconductor.
