Abstract

This disclosure describes a system () for a USB to Bluetooth audio bridging method and apparatus. The system includes a host device () having a first universal serial bus (USB) interface () and a second USB interface (); an adaptor () in connection with the first USB interface () which is compatible to operate based on a Bluetooth-type communication protocol; a peripheral device () coupled to the second USB interface (); and a mobile communication device () linked to the host device () via the adaptor (). The mobile communication device () communicates an audio data signal to the adaptor () and an audio bridging device (). The audio bridging device () maps the second USB interface () to the adaptor () and routes audio data signals alone or in combination with another audio data signals to the peripheral device () via the second USB interface ().
