Abstract
A zirconium-free neutral glass is provided that finds use in the pharmaceutical sector. The glass has a combination of alkali metal oxides of sodium, potassium and optionally lithium, and a controlled amount of aluminum oxide, which provides a zirconium-free and low-boron neutral glass having good hydrolytic stability, good acid and alkali stability and good devitrification properties.
