A cap unithas a moving mechanismthat moves a cap. The moving mechanismhas an intermittent cam gearwith a cam channel; a drive gear; and a cap holder. The cap holderincludes a holding memberthat holds the cap; a cam follower pin; a pin support mechanismthat supports the cam follower pin; and a coil springthat urges the cam follower pintoward the bottomof the cam channel. A slopeis disposed to the bottomof the cam channel. The cam follower pinis on the slopewhen meshing of the intermittent cam gearand drive gearis disengaged, and the intermittent cam gearturns in conjunction with the cam follower pinmoving on the slopedue to the urging force of the coil spring
