Abstract
Methods and apparatus for detection and notification of pressure waves are described herein. A lighting unit () may include one or more light sources () such as LEDs, a pressure wave sensor (), a communication interface (), and a controller () operably coupled with the one or more LEDs, the pressure wave sensor, and the communication interface. In various embodiments, the controller may be configured to receive a signal from the pressure wave sensor, the signal representative of one or more pressure waves detected by the pressure wave sensor. The controller may be configured to determine, based on the signal received from the pressure wave sensor, that the detected one or more pressure waves satisfy a predetermined criterion. The controller may be configured to transmit, to one or more remote lighting units via the communication interface, notification that the predetermined criterion has been satisfied.
