Abstract

An airbag deviceincludes a retainer, a bag body, and an inflator. The retaineris installed on the inner side of a deployment wallof an instrument panelthat is openable by breaking. The retainerhas a bottom wallB arranged opposite to the deployment wall, and a front side wallF continuous with the bottom wallB. The bag bodyis folded in a deployable manner, and is held in the retainerin the folded state. The inflatoris installed in the front side wallF of the retainer, and generates gas to be fed into the bag bodywhen impact is inputted. All folded parts of the bag bodyare arranged on the side closer to the deployment wallthan an end part of the inflatoron the side of the bottom wallB of the retainer
