Abstract

Various embodiments of a device for tensioning an apparatus for fusion, stabilization, and/or fixation of bones are disclosed. In one embodiment, a device for tensioning an orthopedic device is provided, the device comprising: a screw drive; a screw gear; a body portion comprising a first cam lever and a second cam lever; and a cable operatively connected to the orthopedic device and operatively connected to the body portion; wherein rotation of the screw gear causes translation of the screw drive.
