Abstract
Transmitter coils () for contactless energy transmission systems () include a winding () with a number of turns of at least one conductor. Such winding () occupies ring area () between an outer larger unequilateral rectangle () and an inner smaller unequilateral rectangle (). This ring area () is wider on the longer side (x) of the outer rectangle () than it is on shorter side (x). Transmitters () with such transmitter coils () may include a number of conductors and a number of power supplies () that may be switched and/or controlled independently of each other. Energy transmission systems () with such transmitter coils ()/such transmitters () as well as receiver coils () installed in motor vehicles (), are also disclosed.
