Abstract

The present invention relates to a control device () for a turbocharger () for supplying compressed intake air to an internal combustion engine (). The control device includes: a storage part () configured to pre-store a map (); a detection part () configured to a characteristic parameter; a calculation part () configured to obtain an efficiency η of the turbocharger on the basis of the detected characteristic parameter; a determination part () configured to determine presence of deterioration of the turbocharger by comparing the detected characteristic parameter and the obtained efficiency η with the map (); and an informing part () configured to inform a user of a maintenance request.
